TAS - Root Cause Analysis (RCA) 12 Steps + Cause Tree | 2 day | RCARt

A two-day workshop that will open the door to a simple, intuitive, and effective method of problem solving.

Effective problem solving is an essential competency in any business today, at individual, team and organizational levels. It is required for safety incident evaluation, equipment breakdown, and continuous improvement projects.

The RCA Rt method employs a structured approach to root cause analysis, incident investigation and problem solving. We build on a foundation of understanding 5 whys then expand to simple cause and effect diagrams that everyone can relate to easily. Our approach will remove barriers to problem solving, like jumping to solutions or failing to recognize a bias towards one potential root cause.

The two-day workshop is our core training workshop. Each attendee receives a student manual containing all of the concepts and steps with detailed examples. Participants will learn the basic concepts and definitions as well as the steps to implementing creative solutions. The best tips for facilitating (leading) group problem solving will also be covered.

The two-day format allows time to work in small groups to practice and apply the skills that have been learnt. An important part of day two will be used to apply the newly learned skills on real problems from the participant’s own work environment.
