FIJI: Macro Writing for Biologists
Learn how to automate your analysis workflow in FIJI/Image J
About this Event
The online FIJI Macro writing for Biologists workshop runs over four 2-hour sessions over four days. To get the most out of this workshop, you should have your own images and an image analysis workflow that you want to implement.
Part 1 (10am - 12pm, 25th May): We will provide introduction to the syntax of ImageJ macro language and practice basic tools (e.g. loops, condition, array). This is suitable for biologist with no previous coding knowledge.
Part 2 (10am - 12pm, 26th May): We will go through the first example of image analysis workflows. This example will show how to perform cell counting in batch.
Part 3 (10am-12 pm, 27th May): We will go through the second example of image analysis workflows. This example will show how to handle fluorescence microscopy images using Bio-format in batch.
Part 4 (10am-12pm, 28th May): We will go through the last example of image analysis workflows. This example will show how to measure co-occurrence of fluorescence markers and logging in custom table.
Part 5 : Using above example scripts as templates, you can start to write your own macro using your own image (submitted during registration) at your own pace after this workshop.
After the workshop (University of Melbourne researchers only)
Part 6 : Follow up sessions. Individuals will be able to book in a 1:1 consulting session after the main workshop to get feedback/advice on their macro writing.
