Sri Lankan Dance workout

There are three main styles of Sri Lankan classical

dance: The Kandyan dances of the Hill Country, known as Uda Rata Natum; The low

country dances of the southern plains, known as Pahatha Rata Natum;

Sabaragamuwa dances, or Sabaragamuwa Natum.

Tiya is trained professionally in the art of Sri

Lankan dance forms in Sri Lanka. Her dance troupe supports all the major

performers and shows in Melbourne. She has expanded her dance form for people

to understand her culture and use dance as a form of fitness. In these classes

Tiya will teach you the various poses of Kandyan dance and incorporate these further into learning

the Godasaramba and kasthiram which are the basic exercises for the beginners

to train both The Arms and the feet

Learn the culture and art and incorporate this to

fitness as well.

Start Date - Every Saturday

Duration – 4 Weeks

Session times – Saturday at 3.30pm

Minimum participants per class – 10

Simply Choose a start date at the time of booking and the rest of the weeks will be booked in for you.
