About this Event




This training is open to any professional in the northern metropolitan region who responds to family violence.

Explore how to contribute to risk assessment and collaborate for ongoing risk management through respectful and sensitive engagement with victim survivors, information sharing, referral and secondary consultation.

This is not risk assessment training, but forms an integral component of the MARAM suite of training for professionals responding to family violence.

Before attending, all participants are required to:

This session will be delivered across two consecutive mornings. You will need to attend both sessions. 

 Date: Wednesday 21 October and Thursday 22 October 2020 

 Time:  9.30am – 12:30pm (please log in at 9.15am for 9:30am admission)

 Venue:  Zoom (log in details on ticket)

  • Due to high demand for this training, only two people per organisation can attend.
  • We have extensive waitlists for this popular training. Please ensure you prioritise attendance and advise if you are no longer able to attend.
  • Family Safety Victoria have requested that we keep records of non-attendance so they can follow up with agencies

What if I can’t go to both sessions?

It is a requirement that you attend both sessions. Be sure to book when you know you can make it to the whole training.

If something unexpected comes up and you can no longer attend the second part, please contact info@whin.org.au to book into another session.

Where will I find the link to join the session?

The Zoom link will be on your ticket.

How does NIFVS use my contact information?

We will add your contact details to the NIFVS mailing list. This will mean you will receive the monthly NIFVS eNews and information about upcoming professional development opportunities. If you would prefer not to receive this information, please us know at info@whin.org.au.

 How will I know if my registration has been confirmed?

Your registration is confirmed once you have received your ticket via email. If you do not receive your ticket, please check your spam folder. If you have problems using Eventbrite to register, please contact info@whin.org.au 

Am I eligible for this training?

This training is only open to workers in the northern metropolitan region of Melbourne. This includes the local council areas of Banyule, Darebin, Hume, Moreland, Nillumbik, Whittlesea and Yarra.

This session is booked out. What should I do now?

We encourage you to add your name to the waiting list. If a place becomes available, you will receive an email inviting you to register. Please note, you will have a limited time to respond to this offer before the place is offered to the next person on the waiting list.
