Workshop 1: 11:00am to 12:00pm

Instructor: Zelia Rose (Melbourne)

Name of Class: Chair Dynamics

Class Description: In this workshop Zelia will guide you through her distinctive dance style centred around the broadway classic prop the 'Chair'. Reimagine the classic style on chair to connect with the prop in new and innovative ways. Districtive, fierce and strong have been ways in which Zelia's style has been described and her teaching style serves this and more..Expect to werk in a new space of body awareness, finesse and style.

What to bring/wear: Students need to wear ~ Heels and Comfortable/sexy wear. Will need a safe chair to dance with.

Workshop 2: 1215pm to 1345pm

Name of Class: Blues Burlesque

Class Description: In this class you will get to explore dance expression and style dating from the 1940s to 1960s. You will learn signature dance steps from these eras and the inspirations behind them. This class is about Style, Sass and Fun!

What to bring/wear: Students need to bring ~ Heels, Water, Comfortable/sexy wear

Workshop 3: 630pm to 730pm

Instructor: Kiki DeVille (UK)

Name of Class: So you think you can host?

Class Description: Compering is a lot more difficult than people make out. You are the glue that holds the show together, responsible for keeping the audience engaged the whole time, and most importantly, the person who brings on each and every performer with an introduction that makes the audience fall in love with them before they go onstage.

It’s not just “Ladies and Gentlemen” (oh and it shouldn’t be because that’s no very inclusive!)

Kiki DeVille is one of Europe’s best know comperes and brings to this workshop over 10 years of hosting know how, with tips and tricks to help you become the host you want to be.

What to bring/wear: Notepad and pen. Wear something comfortable.
