The Carbon8 Campfire Film Festival showcases FREE weekly online Foodie/Farmer Friendly Films about Regenerative Agriculture.

About this Event

Get your regeneratively grown popcorn ready to celebrate all the wonderful films about regenerative agriCULTURE and regenerative communities.

December is a special month of screening indigenous films - Truly regenerative food systems require us to examine the structural roots of disparities that exist today and where we are perpetuating them. It is from that space where change exists.

Be inspired by a deep conversation with three extraordinary women who have made a deep impact with the work they do on the global stage in connecting to their ancestral wisdom. Dr Vandana Shiva, the protector of Biological and Cultural Diversity, Dr Anne Poelina. a Nyikina Traditional Custodian from Australia and Diane Longboat, a traditional teacher from Six Nations Grand River Territory, Canada. These wisdom keepers straddle worlds, combining deep knowledge of place and kin, of big picture systems and ecology with new learnings and bring with them a huge range of knowledge and expertise.

The interview will follow with the screening of Three Sisters - Women of High Degree - seven years in the making with conversations between three Yimardoowarra Marninil, Nyikina women from the Fitzroy River, Lucy Marshall, Jeannie Wabi, and Anne Poelina, and French-Australian filmmaker Magali McDuffie.

These three sisters share their stories of implementing cultural actions to create sustainable economies in their communities for future generations, and to protect their Kandri, language and culture. .
