Duration - 2.5 -hrs
Program Outline -The Suicide Prevention Training for Pharmacists workshop aims to increase pharmacist skill and confidence in:Recognise the prevalence of suicide in the context of pharmacy
Identify risk factors and warning sign of someone that may have suicidal thoughts
Prepare for a conversation with someone who may display suicidal signs and symptoms
AccreditationThis activity has been accredited for 2.5 hours of Group 1 CPD (or 2.5 CPD credits) suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan, which can be converted to 2.5 hours of Group 2 CPD (or 5 Group 2 CPD credits) upon successful completion of relevant assessment activities. Suitable for Registration is open to all NSW based pharmacy staff, and pharmacists and pharmacy assistants are encouraged to participate.
You must be at least 18 years old to participate in this training course.
This training is being provided at no cost to health professionals that work in the Macleay Valley Region as part of the Kempsey Community Suicide Prevention Action Plan 2020-21 - with the expectation that attendees will actively utilise these skills to improve suicide prevention care and management in our wider community
