Sally Carter is presenting a series of ukulele workshops over two days. Many aspects of ukulele playing will be presented in a fun, friendly and positive learning environment. For Soprano/Concert/Tenor ukuleles. NOT baritones or bass.
Topics covered - how to pluck chords and melody simultaneously, using 3-string chords up the fretboard to play 'Summertime', how to make a standard song sound bluesy using blues riffs, how to take a standard song and make it sound jazzy really easily, finish the day with 'Hound Dog'.
A basic understanding of TAB reading is required. A good working knowledge of standard ukulele chord shapes is required.
Participants bring their own ukulele, pencil, music stand and plectrum.
All sheet music resources provided.
