World Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month 2024

November is recognised globally as Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and is an important time of year for communities to raise awareness of the disease, celebrate survivors and honour loved ones. World Pancreatic Cancer Day occurs on 21 November 2024, and PanKind, in collaboration with other members of the Australian Pancreatic Cancer Alliance, will be lighting up iconic venues across Australia to raise awareness and shine a light on the disease, as part of a wider global awareness campaign. From Melbourne's MCG to Hobart's Tasman Bridge, iconic locations will come together in purple to raise awareness for the disease and honour those who have sadly lost their battles. The public are encouraged to flood social media with images of the landmarks and hashtag #LightAustraliaPurple #pancreaticcancerawareness and #WPCD on the 21 November 2024, or throughout the month of November to raise awareness of this cancer, currently claiming 68 Australian lives a week.
