About

Following on from the popularity of our once off and short series vertical activity days, The Lea is offering a 6 week series focused on building skills in a vertical environment. Pending availability this may include low ropes obstacles, artificial surface abseil, artificial surface rock climbing, natural surface abseil, belayed tree climbing, prusiking and crate stacking.

Stage 1-2 builds skills from an assumed level of zero knowledge and will cover both practical skills and theory. This stage suits homeschooled youth from prep commencement age to 11 years. Older youth may attend with the understanding that the work may be aimed at younger children. In the future I aim to offer vertical skills at a higher level to give the option for further progression.

All youth must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The venue will primarily be The Lea but may feature offsite excursions.

This series will be run over 6 weeks during term 2: 17/5, 24/5, 7/6, 14/6, 21/6, 28/6.
