WEDNESDAY 29 APRIL @ 1.05pm - JAKOB LINDBERG

Internationally acclaimed for his live solo recitals, Swedish lutenist Jakob Lindberg is widely regarded as one of the finest lute players in the world. Based in London, where he's been professor of lute at Royal College of Music since 1979, Lindberg has played a pioneering role in reviving the lute in its many guises as part of the early music movement in the late 20th century.

Presented in association with Melbourne International Lute Festival.

WEDNESDAY 6 MAY @ 1.05pm - OLD GROUND

Two exquisite instruments, beautifully played by Marshall McGuire (harp) and Simon Martyn-Ellis (theorbo) in solos and duos, both old and new, spanning several centuries from 17th-century Europe to 21st-century Australia.

WEDNESDAY 20 MAY @ 1.05pm - JERRY WONG*
International pianist and Associate Professor of Music - Piano and Head of Keyboard at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, Jerry Wong bring his artistry, insight and expressive flair to a program of breathtaking piano repertoire. This Lunchbox features works of striking contrast and power, ranging from the intimate lyricism of Seymour Bernstein, to the brooding intensity of Dmitri Shostakovich and the monumental virtuosity of Franz Liszt.

*PERFORMER CHANGE - We are pleased to welcome internationally acclaimed pianist Jerry Wong for this concert, as Alexey Yemtsov is unfortunately now unable to perform as originally advertised.

WEDNESDAY 27 MAY @ 1.05pm - BAROQUE FAMILY SONGBOOK

British-Australian tenor Jacob Lawrence is celebrated for his interpretations of vocal music from the Medieval to the Baroque eras, and frequently performs with renowned European ensembles like Vox Luminis and Profeti della Quinta. For this intimate recital he takes to the stage with his mother, Launceston-born, Melbourne-based harpsichordist Elizabeth Anderson, to perform some of their family favourite duets by Anna Magdalena Bach, Purcell, Caccini and more.

FOUR-CONCERT SEASON PASSES ($52) are available until 29 April 2026.
