What’s a Sewcial?

It’s our fun take on a social catch-up — with a creative twist! 🎉

Bring along your sewing, mending, knitting, crochet (or just yourself with a cuppa!) and enjoy connecting with like-minded creatives at The ReDress Hub. Share tips, ideas, and conversations while keeping your hands busy — or just relax and soak up the atmosphere.

✨ Sewing machines for hire ($10/hr) or bring your own

✨ Free tea & bikkies (donations welcome)

✨ Coffee shops just steps away

💲 Cost: $5 per seat

📍 Limited to 10 spots — book ahead to secure yours!

🙏 Please either cancel your ticket or let us know 24hrs in advance if you can’t make it so others can join.

🗓 You can book in advance, but to be fair to everyone please don’t book more than two weeks ahead.

Who is this workshop for?

All skill levels welcome! However, for beginners, this is not a teaching workshop but you are bound to receive some advice from others more experienced!

What do I bring?

Your latest sewing, mending, knitting, crochet etc. project or just a desire to chat to others about keeping clothing in use for longer.

How do I book?

There are two tickets for you to choose from:

  1. Prepaid ticket using a CREDITpayment through Eventbrite
  2. Save My Place ticket pay CASH ONLY on the day of the Sewcial

You can book in advance, but to be fair to everyone please don’t book more than two weeks ahead.

Where do I go?

The ReDress Hub is located at:

Shop 6 & 7, Quadrant Plaza, 94 York St, Launceston, Tasmania.

You can find us in Dell Lane just behind Toyworld on York St or turn up Claytons Lane at the Quadrant Mall Fountain.

Super handy access to parking in the Care CarPark next door, with great cafes close by to fuel you up incase tea is not your beverage.

What if I don't feel well?

If you have been or could have been exposed to COVID19 through travel or a close contact, please consider your attendance and or wearing a mask at the event.

If you have any symptoms and don't feel well please don't attend your workshop and get in touch with us for more details.
