About
What does it really mean to live well? And how can cutting-edge psychological science and ancient meditation practice work together to help us get there? Join us at the Afterword Cafe for a rare evening with Dr Bruno Cayoun — clinical psychologist, mindfulness researcher, and one of Australia's most original thinkers in the field of mental health and pioneer in the integration of mindfulness in therapy.
Bruno will be in conversation with Dr Larissa Bartlett (University of Tasmania / Menzies Institute) discussing two new releases: the second edition of his wildly popular book Mindfulness-Integrated CBT for Well-Being and Personal Growth, and his new Mindfulness and Meditation Workbook for Anxiety and Depression.
Dr Cayoun is the developer of Mindfulness-integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MiCBT) and founder of the MiCBT Institute, which has been training mental health professionals internationally since 2003. His work brings together decades of clinical practice, mindfulness research, and a personal meditation journey that began in 1989 across France, Nepal, India, and Australia. He practises from Hobart, where he also runs Macquarie Psychology.
Dr Bartlett is a Research Fellow in Mental Health at UTAS's Menzies Institute and Wicking Dementia Research Centre. As a social psychology researcher, she has a strong interest in neurological health, and the effects of stress on disease progression and quality of life.
Join Bruno and Larissa at the Afterword Café. This is a genuine conversation between two researchers who care deeply about human wellbeing — and a chance to ask the questions that matter to you.
