About
The Rainbow of God’s Creation is a must-have, user-friendly resource for members of religious orders, educators, parishes, priests, seminarians, lay Catholic leaders, families, and senior students.
Inside you will read about the approach of Pope Francis, and be informed of existing pastoral organisations. You will share in the experiences of many LGBTIQA+ people themselves. The book outlines the Catholic Church’s teachings and their historical origins. It explores current scientific and theological developments that can shape our understanding that our LGBTIQA+ siblings are precious expressions of God’s limitless, creative Love. Models of hope offer an opening towards a more inclusive and open-hearted Catholic Church in relation to people who identify as LGBTIQA+.
The final chapter introduces findings from global consultations such as the Australian Plenary Council and the Synod on Synodality (2023/24), with practical suggestions for response and action by the Catholic Church.
