DJ SharkRa

A student of sound system culture and a product of Sydney's underground free party scene, DJ Sharkra now calls lutruwita/Tasmania home. Guided by the power of the subwoofer to bring people together, her sets are a deep dive into bass-friendly music with soul, bridging dubstep, UK bass, hip-hop, and global rhythms, with a special focus on unearthing fresh, boundary-pushing beats from female producers worldwide. Expect raw emotion, heavy soundscapes, maybe a few swear words, and a gentle arc designed to ground the room, shake things out, and imagine something better on the dance floor.
