Leadership Training for Non Profit Organisations
Leading in the not-for-profit sector requires a unique blend of heart, strategy, and adaptability. NFP leaders must navigate a distinct dual landscape: managing paid staff alongside a diverse, passionate workforce of volunteers who give their time, not for a paycheck, but for the purpose.
This leadership workshop bridges that gap, starting from the inside out. Using the DiSC profiling tool, you will uncover your own behavioral style and build the high-level emotional intelligence needed to engage, inspire, and unite both halves of your workforce.
You will gain practical frameworks to navigate sector-specific change, set clear expectations, and handle difficult conversations with empathy and accountability, ensuring you can protect your culture, prevent burnout, and drive your organisation’s mission forward.
Topics include:
- Clarifying your personal leadership brand and core values to authentically inspire both paid employees and volunteers.
- Understanding how to adapt your behavioural and communication style to engage different motivators, balancing accountability with volunteer passion.
- Using emotional intelligence and supportive leadership structures to protect your team’s well-being in a resource-constrained environment.
- Tools to challenge your thinking about yourself and others.
- Learning how to successfully "walk through the peer door" and establish your role as a leader by setting realistic goals and guiding your team through change.
- Learning strategies to build a unified, positive workplace culture that breaks down silos between staff and volunteers.
- Building the confidence to address issues early, manage conflict, and have difficult conversations while maintaining morale and retaining valuable talent.
