Tunapri Palawa is a 1.5-2-hour immersive experience, wherein the lives
of pre-colonial Palawa are given the spotlight, and we explore the
traditional resources that were, not too long ago, a part of the daily
lives of humans on this island.
We will not only delve into the lives of the pre-colonial Palawa, but also
the daily lives of the contemporary Palawa community, and the
traditional seasonal activities that are, to this day, significant cultural
practices to those that now carry the flame of knowledge from our
ancestors.
The workshop is split into two parts. First, a 45-minute oral
presentation, followed by a 45-minutes hands-on activity. In this
section all participants will be given the unique opportunity of creating
their very own contemporary artefact based on the lessons learnt
throughout the workshop.
The nature of the hands-on activity will vary in accordance with
seasonal resource availability and traditional harvesting protocol.
