Book Chat at Smithton Library

Connect with fellow book lovers and chat about your favourite books and new reads. Discover different genres, authors and book trends while enjoying a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate.

Whether you're an avid reader or just starting out, everyone is welcome!

Please join us for a special Our Island Stories program to celebrate Tasmania Reads.

Our Island Stories invites you into a lively conversation about the books that stay with us, the stories we return to and share with others. Our panellists will reflect on the stories that have shaped their reading journeys and continue to spark joy and meaning. Join the conversation as we celebrate reading together.

Parking is available at the rear of the library. Smithton Library has an accessible entrance ramp at the front with automatic doors. For any specific accessibility requirements or questions, feel free to contact us at 6478 9574.

To help us deliver a successful program please, register all participants on Eventbrite.

We will provide sanitiser for you. Please do not visit the library if you’re unwell.
