It’s 1973 and Alan Skidmore is in trouble with the police. He lives with his father in the working-class suburb of Glenorchy, his mother has left, his girlfriend dumps him, and his probation officer warns him to stay away from his friend Muir whose father is in jail for murder. Alan’s future is looking bleak until he moves into a run-down share house in North Hobart and learns what is important in life.
